She had no idea what it was going to be but was very diligent in taking care of it, keeping it with her while she traveled around Ecruteak and making sure it was kept warm at all times until finally, a week later, it hatched--

The resemblance to her friend and mentor back home wasn't lost on Chise at all, thus the name, and the bond between the pair was strong from the moment they laid eyes on one another. Elias is a very lonely little creature that doesn't like to be left alone at any point in time or else he'll throw bit of a tantrum due to his stress and fear that everyone has abandoned him. Because of this, Chise always keeps him in her active party even if he's still a very low level, usually carrying the little thing or trusting him to Gwyllgi's care if she needs her hands free.
