Met in the Dark Cave (level 10) | August 8th, 2018 Chise's visit to the Dark Cave didn't exactly go as planned thanks to a bunch of Geodudes that decided to make her stay in the cave a bit unpleasant. The rambunctious rock Pokemon decided to cause the beginnings of a cave-in and, with only Wendy and Belladonna in her party, Chise would have been a bit out of luck had it not been for this brave little Rockruff. Jumping in and fending off the Geodudes and leading Chise and her companions to safety, the canine Pokemon stayed with them through the night and made sure nothing bothered them for the rest of their stay.
It was pretty clear to the pup that Chise needed a protector and he made the decision to stick with her, nosing open one of her Pokeballs and joining her party after another run in with some rather rude Pokemon. (This time Zubats.) Deciding to name him Gwyllgi, after the Welsh version of Church Grims, Chise is actually a lot more at ease with him at her side and keeps him out constantly.

Just in case.
